Chick-fil-A has announced an exciting new chapter of expansion in Michigan, with plans to open 25 to 30 new restaurants across the state by the end of 2028. This ambitious project will bring over 2,500 jobs to the area and further solidify Chick-fil-A’s presence in the Mitten State.
Chick Fil a New Branches In Michigan
Since its debut in Michigan in 2015, Chick fil A has steadily grown, currently operating 28 restaurants. The new locations will focus on several key areas:
- Detroit/Ann Arbor Region: Upcoming branches include Chesterfield Township, Roseville, Taylor, and Fort Gratiot, all set to open by the end of 2024. Additional locations in Detroit, Auburn Hills, Clinton Township, Lincoln Park, Orion Township, and Canton are also planned for the near future.
- Lansing/Jackson Region: Two new restaurants are expected to open in 2025.
- Flint-Saginaw Region: Saginaw will welcome a new branch in 2025.
- Benton Harbor: A branch is scheduled to open in 2025 as well.
Scott Mayson, Chick-fil-A’s Area Director for the Midwest Region, highlighted Michigan’s diverse communities as a driving force behind the expansion. “Michigan is filled with tight-knit communities and proud residents. Expanding our presence here was a natural step,” he said.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model ensures that most locations are locally owned and operated. This allows franchisees to work side by side with their teams, bringing a hands-on approach to running the restaurants. Each new branch will employ between 80 and 120 team members, helping Chick-fil-A continue its tradition of delivering excellent food and hospitality.
